In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of the Northern Health and reporting to the Pharmacy Operations Lead, Primary and Long-Term Care, this position provides clinical pharmacy services to patients of the primary care network. As a member of an interprofessional team, this position works directly with patients to identify and resolve actual and potential drug therapy problems through provision of comprehensive medication management.

Position Coverage

Position covers South Peace Primary Care Network, which includes communities of Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge. Hours of work may vary based on site and operational need.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work

Days – 08:30 to 16:30, Rotating

Dawson Creek & District Hospital

Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a full‑service community hospital that provides services to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the orthopaedic trauma and surgical centre for the northeast region of BC. Services include:

Dawson Creek Community

Dawson Creek is surrounded by blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies. Known as the Mile Zero City, it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Population of 12,500. It serves a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger Peace River Region of 60,000. Facilities include eleven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school. The Northern Lights College provides adult education.
