Our Interprofessional Practice and Learning team advances person‑centered care through evidence‑based practice and learning strategies. The team works closely with academic, regulatory, and governmental partners to influence and operationalize health system priorities and improve patient outcomes.
Reporting to the Manager, Interprofessional Practice and Learning, Eastern Zone, the Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) assesses, implements, plans, evaluates, and supports the application of existing and new clinical knowledge. The CNE demonstrates competency in practice, program design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education, leadership, and professional practice. The role aligns with the Interprofessional Practice and Learning Framework, supporting collaborative person‑centered care within Nova Scotia Health.
Using a framework grounded in adult and concept‑based learning, the CNE fosters a culture of learning, builds capacity, and supports the advancement of professional practice through orientation and ongoing education programs. The CNE provides advice, consultation, and support to advance practice, maintain and develop evidence‑based standards of care, and optimize patient outcomes within interprofessional teams.
Periodic travel across Nova Scotia is required. Reliable transportation is mandatory.

Hourly rate: $50.80 – $60.63
Annual salary: $99,059 – $118,220
Adjusted hourly rate with 25 years’ nursing experience: $62.74 ($122,357 annually)
