A recognized academic institution in Canada is seeking a Clerical Assistant in the College of Nursing to provide specialized clerical support for an upcoming accreditation visit. The role involves updating faculty CVs and requires strong communication and organizational skills. Candidates should have completed Grade 12 and a year of post-secondary education, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position allows for flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends, and may be performed in a hybrid model.
Summary: The College of Nursing is the largest non-departmentalized academic unit and among the most distributed, with programming across 10 geographic locations in the province. Reporting to the Dean’s Executive Assistant, this short-term casual position provides specialized clerical support in preparation for the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) Accreditation visit in March 2026. This role involves working closely with College of Nursing faculty and staff to ensure that faculty Curriculum Vitae (CVs) are fully updated in the University’s electronic CV management system (UnivRS). UnivRS includes a self-serve, web-based CV management module with predetermined sections and fields that capture educational credentials, grants, publications, presentations, teaching dossier, etc.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, to solve problems collaboratively, and to maintain a high standard of attention to detail with timely deliverables. This position provides proficient and respectful support services within a professional academic unit. The work hours are flexible depending on availability of required materials for entry and can be completed during non-standard business hours (evenings and weekends), if mutually agreed. The work can be performed at the USask campus in Saskatoon, Prince Albert or in a hybrid work arrangement from any location in the province.
