Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Flat Deck driver.

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing flat deck pick-ups and deliveries primarily in Western Canada, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
  • Properly securing and tarping loads according to industry standards and regulations.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic logs and documentation, adhering to all transportation laws and company policies.
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
  • Planning optimal routes and managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
  • Handling loading and unloading of cargo when required, maintaining a clean and organized truck cabin and flat deck.
  • Adapting to changing weather conditions and road situations, demonstrating flexibility in work schedule.
  • Participating in ongoing safety training and professional development programs.
Qualifications
  • Class 1 License
  • 2 years of flat deck experience
  • Must have load securement experience
  • Tarping experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Electronic logbooks
