Job details

Work setting: Employer's home.
Location: 3108 Langford Lake Road, Langford, BC V9B 0L9 and Victoria, BC V8S 4C9.
Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined. Hours: 30 per week at $23.00 per hour.
Employment terms: Full time, on site.

Responsibilities
  • Change diapers
  • Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
  • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Tend to emotional well‑being of children
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years
  • Certifications: Emergency child care first aid and CPR; CPR Certificate
  • Security and safety: Criminal record check; Driver's licence validation; Driving record check; Reference required
  • Transportation: Own vehicle; valid driver's licence
