Brampton Meat and Poultry Inc., operating under the Brampton Authentic Indian Food located at 178 Meadowlands Dr W, Nepean, ON, K2G 2S6, is a highly esteemed venue for buffet and menu à la carte and caters for special events such as wedding receptions, business meetings/conferences and corporate dinner parties. Brampton Authentic Indian Food is well known for its high standard of culinary excellence. We are urgently looking for a highly experienced, creative and innovative experienced Specialist Chef (Tandoor and Curry) with at least 3 years of experience in preparing and cooking traditional Indian tandoor and familiarity with special Indian herbs and spices.

Job Description:

As a full-time Chef (Tandoor and Curry), you will be required to work morning, evening and weekend. The applicant should be team worker, punctual, proactive, outgoing and dependable and be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Indian tandoori dishes (e.g., naan, roti, tandoori chicken, seekh kebabs) using traditional methods and tandoor ovens.
  • Prepare and cook Indian curries (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) with proper spice blending and cooking techniques specific to Indian regional cuisines (North Indian, Punjabi)
  • Develop traditional Indian recipes and menus.
  • Introduce seasonal and regional Indian dishes based on customer preferences.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Train junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and tandoor usage.
  • Customize spice levels or ingredients as per dietary restrictions or preferences, while maintaining authenticity.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality for all dishes.
  • Marinate meats and vegetables as per traditional recipes and required timelines.
  • Organize kitchen stations and ensure all ingredients and tools are ready for use.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of the kitchen and tandoor area.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients, especially spices, dairy products, and meat/vegetables specific to Indian cooking.
  • Minimize food waste and manage proper storage of ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations and guidelines
