Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Cash Manager to oversee the Cash Department in a locally owned store. You will manage resources and collaborate with other departments to meet store objectives while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role involves leading cashier staff, interviewing candidates, scheduling hours, training, and performance reviews. You will enforce standards, promote promotions, and support loss prevention initiatives in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership and labour management experience.
• Experience in retail/grocery and cash handling.
• Superior interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example and ensures cashier staff demonstrate core values.
• Interviews and recommends final candidates for hiring cashiers.
• Schedules cashier staff hours, days off and vacations within established guidelines.
• Trains employees in job functions and provides ongoing coaching and instructions.
• Assists with completing performance reviews of cashier staff with the FSM.
• Ensures cashiers comply with Store Standards and uses loss prevention measures.
