Job summary

Walmart Canada in Toronto is seeking a Cleaning Associate to participate in a structured maintenance cleaning program, helping to keep the store clean and safe for customers and associates.

You will clean Fresh Departments, including coolers, freezers and display fixtures; inspect equipment; and ensure supplies are available while adhering to all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines. This role requires a minimum age of 18, with a starting pay rate of 18.05 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the Stocking Coach and cooperates with associates on cleaning regimen.
• Complies with Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Cleans Fresh Departments, including coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Inspects maintenance and cleaning equipment and ensures supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe environment by completing in-store certification programs and following policies.
• Cleans floors by mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining non-sales areas.

What You'll Do...

• Communicates with the Stocking 3 Coach and cooperates with the associates on a comprehensive cleaning regiment.
• Complies with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments include coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Assist in the inspection all maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensures sufficient supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring completion of required in-store certification programs and work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures
• When required, clean floors following a system of; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets, including all non-sales floor areas.
