Job summary

Walmart Canada in Port Perry, ON is seeking a maintenance cleaning associate to participate in a structured cleaning program and help maintain a clean, safe shopping and work environment. You will work with store teams to follow food safety standards and keep coolers, freezers and fixtures clean.

Responsibilities include inspecting cleaning equipment, ensuring supplies, and completing in-store certifications while following company policies. The role starts at CAD 18.05 per hour.

• Complies with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
• Executes timely cleaning of all Fresh Departments include coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
• Assist in the inspection all maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and ensures sufficient supplies are available.
• Promotes a safe working environment by ensuring completion of required in-store certification programs and work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures
• When required, clean floors following a system of; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and maintaining carpets, including all non-sales floor areas.
