The Sutton Place Wine Merchant is an international wine, spirits and beer boutique featuring more than 1,000 wines at various price points, ranging from unique labels to familiar favorites. The store offers an intimate ambiance with a wide selection of attractively displayed wines from both the Old World and the New World.

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000 – $60,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the store, supervising opening and closing duties.
  • Maintain product and service standards, including product placement, inventory control, and reporting.
  • Manage office supply inventory and coordinate the service and maintenance of store hardware.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager to source product, place weekly orders, and optimize store layout, stock rotation, and visual standards.
  • Prepare daily store reports using Barnet POS, Opera PMS, and Excel.
  • Provide leadership to team members, setting standards by example and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Deliver premier customer service to all customers.
  • Conduct inventory counting, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Work weekends and evenings as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong wine, beer, and spirits knowledge (WSET Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Previous buying experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
