Assistant General Manager role at 1st RND - West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta. We are an excited brand focused on Burgers, Beers, and Sports, with two stores within the company. The AGM will join a senior FOH management team and spend 3-4 weeks working with the FOH management team to prepare for the role by November 2025. - Position: Assistant General Manager
- Description: The AGM will be vital to the operation of the FOH business and report to the General Manager. The AGM fosters an environment where creativity, guest service, event sales, and sports thrive. Guest service is the top priority; the AGM is accountable to the business and will help create a unique entertainment environment with focus on food quality, guest experience, talent development, and strong management.
- Essential responsibilities (representative): supervise FOH operation (dining and bar) to maximize profitability and ensure adherence to brand standards; recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and discipline team members; conduct training for new hires; develop team members through feedback and performance reviews; manage shifts, scheduling, planning, and cleanliness; control day-to-day operations (labor, ordering, inventory) and develop the 1st RND team; ensure a safe environment and complete incident reports as needed; manage cash, inventory, and labor to support profitability; troubleshoot event execution issues; and uphold brand policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a senior level hospitality position
- Post-secondary education in hospitality or related work experience
- Previous experience running similar restaurant concepts
- Proven track record of building a successful team through networking, recruiting, training, and developing talent
- Proven ability to increase sales and profitability
- Highly motivated to work independently and without direct supervision
- Proactive, well organized, and forward thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for quality food and service
