Job Description

The Guidewire Business Analyst plays a critical role in the successful implementation and optimization of Guidewire applications PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter. This role involves gathering business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

Insurance Domain Knowledge & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of PC insurance products, processes, and terminology.
  • Familiarity with policy lifecycle: quotation, issuance, endorsement, renewal, cancellation.
  • Policy Administration System (PAS) experience.
  • Prior experience with PAS functionalities.
  • Understanding of system integration points and data flows.
  • Data mapping and analysis.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and map data fields between source and target systems.
  • Experience creating data dictionaries, mapping documents, and transformation rules.
  • Understanding of data quality, cleansing, and validation principles.
  • Upload interface requirements gathering.
  • Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements for data upload interfaces.
  • Ability to define file formats (e.g., CSV, Excel, XML, templates) and data validation rules.
  • Basic understanding of databases and data models (relational databases, ER diagrams).
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, business SMEs, and testers.
  • Experience working in agile teams.
  • Skill in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs.
  • Participation in sprint ceremonies: planning, review, retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in creating clear, concise documentation: BRDs, mapping sheets, user stories.
  • Ability to present complex information to both business and technical audiences.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting data issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data mapping and interface requirements.
Compensation

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $90,000 - $115,000 yearly.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
