Overview

Join Our Team as a Building Manager! We are currently looking for a Building Manager for a residential property (Strata) based in North Vancouver. High-rise building, 27 floors, 321 units. This will be a full-time position. The Building Manager is responsible for interaction between residents, the strata council, and the property manager, and to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the building.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the site
  • Perform minor handyman repairs. Monitor and maintain garbage and recycling rooms
  • Basic security detail: checking doors, reporting suspicious activity
  • Key holding and alarm response. Fob and enterphone programming
  • Call trades in the event of elevator malfunction, flood, plumbing issues, police, fire, or ambulance
  • Coordinate and log move-in / out bookings
  • Collect damage deposits for move-ins / outs
  • Perform pre/post inspections with the resident
  • Administrative duties (post notices, collect funds for additional fobs / keys, submit activity reports to PM)
  • Monitor and address parking violations and improper usage of parking areas
  • Consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, maintained, and running smoothly
  • Submit caretaker reports regularly (frequency upon PM’s request)
  • Greet residents and guests. Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests
  • Report concerning issues with tenants / residents to PM
  • Respond to noise and smoking complaints
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in facility management, preferably in residential settings
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Possess a keen eye for detail. Customer service experience is an asset
  • This role involves occasional use of equipment like leaf blowers and pressure washers, with full training provided
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, are essential for this role
  • Experience with using a leaf-blowing machine and power washing machine
  • Ability to deal with residents in a professional, positive, and friendly manner
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to carry weight up to 35 lbs

Working hours: 8 am - 4 pm
