All Equip is currently looking to hire a brake press operator to join our busy, fast-growing shop in St. Marys. You will program and operate a brake press to implement required bending according to engineering drawings. With a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic you can help contribute to further the success of our company!

Wage is based on experience.

Reporting to the shop manager, this brake press operator is full-time, Monday - Friday day shift.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify the required bend by reading and interpreting the technical drawings.
  • Determine the suitable machine for the job and the necessary punch and die pieces needed and prepare the machine accordingly.
  • Perform measurements and mathematics as required to determine suitable processes/parts for the job.
  • Program CNC machine with the required information.
  • Manually set up mechanical brake machine.
  • Verify completed parts against specifications, using squares, calipers, measuring tape, etc. Perform routine maintenance on machines.
  • Operate overhead crane to move parts as required.
  • Operate forklift to move parts about the facility.
  • Operate laser cutting equipment.
  • Stacking/putting away finished parts.
  • Complete 100% First Article Inspections to verify all dimensions and specifications of the first piece from a new part order.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the production floor and assist others as required.
  • Conform to all health and safety standards and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
  • Forklift certified (or capacity to operate a forklift).
  • Ability to apply mathematical analysis to determine suitable machine setup.
  • Ability to use basic measuring devices (squares, calipers, verniers, measuring tape).
  • Some heavy lifting required.
