About the role: The bartender at Marcus Restaurant and Lounge delivers attentive, refined, and personalized service while demonstrating in‑depth knowledge of beverages and the hotel's quality standards. This role includes warmly welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, and ensuring smooth bar operations from setup to closing.

What you will do
  • Provide guests at the Bar with distinguished and pleasant service in accordance with Four Seasons quality standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to them proactively.
  • Serve beverages with a solid knowledge of the drink menu.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of all products offered at the Bar, including wines, cocktails, beers, armagnacs, cognacs, eaux‑de‑vie, and other beverages.
  • Work closely with the Sommelier to ensure proper wine rotation.
  • Perform both opening and closing duties at the Bar; set tables according to required standards.
  • Clear and store linens, china, silverware, glassware, beverages, and food.
  • Use the hotel's POS system (Micros) to charge items, print bills, and process transactions.
  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked at all times and that all opening and closing duties are properly completed.
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
What you bring
  • Good communication skills in French; an intermediate knowledge of English is necessary to understand the needs of international customers, explain the services offered, and ensure a personalized experience.
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts: days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Have a good resistance to stress and manage it positively and effectively.
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in the same role, ideally in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills. This position involves a large volume of guest contact and excellent communication skills are required.
  • Excellent bartending and cocktail knowledge.
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time.
  • The ability to carry up to 30 lbs (13 kg).
  • The ideal candidate will also have solid food and wine knowledge, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern and classic cocktails.
