Members of JANA’s Product Team, under the direction of the Whole Product Manager s and in heavy collaboration with JANA’s Software Development Teams , JANA’s Associate Product Managers own the detailed definition and description of what is built into JANAs software products. Leading the detailed design and solutioning to ensure the software will meet the needs of both internal and external clients, and translating requirements and high-level use cases into detailed descriptions of specifically what needs to be built . Associate Product Managers work closely with development teams to ensure the requirements are prepared and understood, help ing to answer and clarify the requirements, as well as confirming that development has achieved the goals for each sprint. They understand the minutia of the product and the day-to-day execution requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Understands the Jobs to Be Done theory and uses it to understand JANA’s clients’ needs better than the clients understand it themselves
  • Collaborate s with Product Managers , development teams , and QA teams to translate and document feature definition s into detailed user stories and test strategies
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of training materials, release notes, and general product documentation related to the software
  • Tracks bugs, issues, and new feature requests from all stakeholder groups
  • Owns d etailed s olution d efinition and u ser s tory w riting process
  • Work s with designers on UX design
  • Works closely with Delivery Teams to ensure product s are used ef f ectively and internal JTBD are captured
  • Understands impact of timelines, answers questions and assist s with client impact review
  • Working with others, leads sprint planning activities including goals setting, prioritizing and ensuring requirements are understood.
  • Participate in day-to-day scrum ceremonies, d aily s tand- u ps, f eature d emonstrations, and r etrospectives.
  • Brings a client -centric view to the curation and prioritization of product features
  • Contributes to the roadmap development of the software component of JANAs Whole Product Offerings
  • Validates that user stories are design ed and implemented as intended
Required Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a STEM field
  • 2+ years in a Technology organization
  • Working knowledge of the Jobs to Be Done theory
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in the Product field
  • Knowledge of various software development lifecycles - especially Agile / Scrum
  • Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 20% of the time
