A major financial institution based in Toronto is looking for a Liquidity Risk Associate Director to manage and provide oversight over liquidity parameters. You will collaborate with multiple teams, challenge capital market parameters, and brief senior management on emerging risks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of capital markets, liquidity risk, and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and development support.

What is the opportunity?

As a Liquidity Risk Associate Director, you will provide independent oversight, challenge and governance of the liquidity parameters used to identify and capture liquidity risk globally.

What will you do?
  • Review and challenge capital market focused parameters across RBC’s global balance sheet
  • Partner with other liquidity risk teams to provide independent insight on liquidity parameterization
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the parameter review and challenge framework
  • Brief senior management on emerging risks and market/regulatory developments that impact liquidity and funding.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and plan for compliance to future requirements related to liquidity risk.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have
  • Strong understanding of capital market businesses, particularly valuable would be an understanding of markets businesses including equities, prime brokerage etc
  • Understanding of liquidity risk and liquidity risk parameters
  • Understanding of key liquidity regulatory metrics and requirements
  • Strong presentation skills including Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable experience communicating complex concepts to audiences of varying levels, including senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of a bank’s businesses and balance sheet structure
Nice‑to‑have
  • CFA designation is beneficial.
  • Previous experience with risk oversight, Balance Sheet Management, Liquidity Risk, Stress Testing and Policy Oversight.
