Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support management in daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will help supervise staff, manage shipments, stock shelves, and maintain a safe, organized store environment.

The role requires about one year in retail with at least one year in a supervisory role, plus flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts. Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities are valued to support a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability including day, evening, and weekend.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management team in operating the store and supervising staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stock daily products on shelves and keep the store organized.
• Reach high shelves by climbing ladders as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues.
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with cash handling, opening/closing duties.
• Track tasks and follow up on assignments.
• Participate in manager-on-duty tasks including breaks, time and attendance, hiring and performance processes.
