Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. This role also acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

You will lead staff, assist with merchandising, training, and performance evaluations, with open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts. The position offers growth and a strong benefits package in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability including day, evening, weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Oversee merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
