Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Manitoba to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and achieve sales goals. The role acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager's absence, with open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

The position emphasizes leadership, coaching, and staff development, along with merchandising, cash management, and compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
