Job summary

Dollarama in Montreal, QC, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and hit sales goals.

You will lead staff, coordinate merchandising, cash handling, and safety; open to train and develop employees, and act as Manager on Duty in the Manager's absence. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
