Job Description

The Assembly Supervisor role is a full-time, day‑shift position reporting to the Operations Manager. The primary role of this leadership position is to be accountable for the direction and coordination of all the activities of the Assembly area and staff. This position organizes the flow of parts to maximize resources for schedule attainment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development & maintenance of sound work plans.
  • Ownership of the assembly processes.
  • Coordinate workload and organize resources for schedule attainment.
  • Support assembly staff as well as other departments in resolving challenges.
  • Train, develop and maintain assembly staff knowledge & skills.
  • Support, coach and motivate staff.
  • Organize & manage relative continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in meetings such as production, Quality, Safety, etc.
  • Promote & maintain good teamwork.
  • Maintain productivity performance.Assuring staff compliance to Health and Safety Protocols.
  • Support communication plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum grade 12, GED, technical school training or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Ability to function in a team-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to comprehend and effectively carry out instructions.
  • Computer literate (experience in Syspro would be an asset).
  • Strong attention to detail, effective decision-making and results orientated.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage & coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to read, and interpret technical information (i.e. drawings, specifications)
Assets
  • Experience/knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Experience in performing assembly style work or similar.
  • Experience in a leadership role (manager, supervisor, lead hand, etc.)
