With a reputation for reliability and care, we are growing our team and looking for an Apprentice Carpenter to join us.

Position Overview

As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work directly with experienced carpenters to learn and develop your skills in both interior and exterior carpentry. This role is hands-on and involves assisting with deck construction, finish carpentry, and restoration work. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and eager to build a career in the trade.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the construction and repair of decks, stairs, railings, and other exterior structures
  • Support finish carpentry tasks including trim work, baseboards, casings, and door installation
  • Measure, cut, and prepare lumber and other building materials
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools
  • Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, or instructions
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized
  • Follow building codes and company standards for quality and safety
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Take direction and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
  • Interest in carpentry with some hands-on experience (school, work, or personal projects)
  • Familiarity with common carpentry tools and materials
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation an asset
