JDI IT is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Application Support Specialist to help digitally transform J.D. Irving’s Retail division. This is your chance to work with Atlantic Canada’s leader in Home Improvement – Kent Building Supplies, business-to-business supplier – Chandler Sales, award-winning pre-engineered structural systems manufacturer – Atlas Structural Systems, and Plasticraft Digital & Specialty Printing.

The Application Support Specialist supports and maintains a variety of enterprise applications and platforms. They are the main point of contact for technical expertise and the support of large-scale solutions. They are also responsible for triaging issues to internal support, vendors, or partners to ensure solutions operate effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years’ work experience in a related field
  • Experience with document & content management, CRM, and/or digital signage solutions
  • An understanding of REST calls, writing SQL queries, stored procedures
  • Technical knowledge in the configuration and troubleshooting of D365 Finance and Operations, Warehouse Management System, Planning and Optimization software, Supply Chain Management software, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
  • Demonstrated a high level of curiosity
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Strong organization and planning skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing opportunities to use Artificial Intelligence for improving personal and business processes
  • Assist with configuration and testing of the applications

  • Assist in creating business requirements for future product enhancements
  • Create documentation related to the support and management of solutions
  • Triage errors if any and assist internal/external resources to correct the software
  • Upgrade software or interfaces for better performance of the solutions
  • Continuously review the solutions and make recommendations to improve/maintain them
  • Installation of various software
  • Provide coaching and training to the solutions' users
  • Support the Delivery/Project Managers with solutions
  • Deliver solutions with a focus on quality and an exceptional experience for customers/end users
