A leading open-source technology company in Canada is seeking a Developer Advocate. In this role, you will create engaging technical content and represent the company at global events. You should have a strong understanding of AI technology, excellent communication skills, and experience in open-source development. The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science or a related field and a proactive approach to engaging with developer communities worldwide.

The Red Hat Artificial Intelligence Business Unit (AI BU) is seeking to hire a Developer Advocate to help grow awareness of Red Hat AI and open‑source projects that complement our platform. The expected experience level is someone who has a degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
In this role, you will create engaging technical content, demos, and workshops that help developers understand, build, and deploy AI workloads on Red Hat’s platforms and related open‑source projects. You’ll represent Red Hat at global conferences, meetups, and open‑source events globally, while building a strong personal brand that resonates with the AI developer community. You’ll receive mentorship from senior technical marketers, developer advocates, and product engineers to help accelerate your technical and professional growth.
Salary range: $84,400.00 – $134,970.00 (actual offer based on qualifications).
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote‑US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
