Job description
Overview

You will report to and work closely with Senior Management and Product Management. Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

Support coordination across teams, dependencies, and program risks

  • Work with Scrum Masters to align the application and maturity of Agile practices across all teams. Each Scrum Master is responsible for coaching and managing their own team.
  • Work with Scrum Masters to resolve organizational issues that have been escalated and that are outside the teams control.
  • Work with Scrum Masters to improve and support dependency management and the coordination/alignment of activities across teams.
  • Ensure the identification, tracking, and mitigation of program-level impacts, interdependencies, and risks across teams, vendors, and platforms.
  • Escalate issues quickly and strategically, establishing clear decision-making paths for management.

Act as a link between Management and Finance

  • Translate progress, risk, and value-delivery metrics between technical teams and institutional partners (Finance, governance leads), ensuring information meets the needs for senior-level management and control.
  • Maintain and communicate overall flow, performance, and value-delivery metrics.
  • Oversee financial milestones and investment-management mechanisms.

Work with Product Management to align delivery with the product strategy

  • Collaborate with Product Directors, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure initiative objectives, backlogs, and delivery plans align with customer value, product roadmaps, and organizational priorities.
  • Work closely with Product Management to ensure practices align with the product roadmap.
  • Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts, as required, to understand and maintain the backlog.
  • Support Product Owners who are responsible for customer relationships.

Ensure transparency through relevant, needs-based information and communications

  • Provide concise, actionable reporting on progress, health, risks, and value delivery. Tailor communications for executives, technical teams, and Product Owners.
  • Ensure stakeholders share a common understanding of the initiative and provide appropriate and timely information to governance committees and institutional groups such as Finance.
  • At all levels, maintain effective communications with customers, help secure community support for the initiative, and seek feedback to improve delivery.

Support Product Management on the vendor side

  • Align the project backlog and requirements with vendor requirements and specifications.
  • Prioritize and track deliveries and expenditures.
  • Support Product Management in vendor management, as required.

Service Requirements – Candidate Profile

You must meet the following requirements:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in project/program delivery, including at least three (3) years in a leadership role using an Agile/Hybrid approach to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to guide teams in shifting from a task-based (output) approach to one focused on measurable outcomes and business value.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and developing teams and stakeholders in Agile practices.
  • Hands-on experience with an evolving Agile initiative working alongside traditional (non-Agile) groups and vendors.
  • Strong ability to adapt communications to different audiences while maintaining consistency, and to act as a bridge between technical teams, operational groups, and governance bodies.
  • Experience working with Finance to align project delivery with budget governance and financial reporting cycles.
  • Experience working with external vendors to align their deliverables with internal backlogs, ensuring clear translation of requirements and adherence to timelines.
  • Proven pragmatism and flexibility in adapting Agile frameworks to organizational needs and operating in environments where Agile delivery coexists with traditional institutional processes.
  • Experience delivering major transformation initiatives in a product-management environment with Agile and Hybrid components, leveraging technology to deliver customer value (e.g., large-scale, multi-year, multi-million-dollar enterprise projects).
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of psychological safety that encourages experimentation, curiosity, and continuous learning within teams.
  • Strong proficiency in using data (e.g., Jira, Power BI, etc.) to report on organizational value delivery and performance metrics.
