Job description

Aston Carter's client is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join their team! This individual will act as the bridge between customers and the site operational management team. This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction by balancing customer requirements with internal needs, serving as the primary interface with customers, and maintaining strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer contract requirements are administered appropriately.
  • Fulfill customer initiatives, special processes, and data requests consistently and promptly.
  • Serve as the main contact for customer groups, developing and deploying new or revised processes to meet customer goals.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to maintain on-time shipping of customer orders.
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of customer orders as needed.
  • Update daily KPI volumes to provide better visibility on productivity.
  • Send daily dashboards to customers and update them on current operational status.
  • Generate and audit customer invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Meet with operations management to capture revenue for out-of-service scope work performed.
  • Update revenue accruals to assist in the month-end finance process.
  • Report on key support areas of account performance, including KPIs.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Coordinate with operational managers to provide value-added services as required by customers.
  • Report department goals and metrics, assisting with individual goals to align with company, site, and customer objectives.
  • Participate in on-site team meetings and account/site/customer committee meetings.
  • Monitor customer shipping status and address potential issues or delays.
  • Process receiving and shipping documents accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of records and reports for client activity.
  • Review daily on-hold inventory reports and follow up with customers or QA to resolve issues.
  • Identify and resolve potential discrepancies in inventories.
  • Coordinate and perform cycle counts according to client requirements.
  • Track order and receiving accuracy daily.
  • Conduct weekly audits to ensure inbound descriptions, quantities, and locations match WMS records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must Haves:
  • 1+ year of administration experience, including data entry, filing, document review, invoice matching, and timesheet processing.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook for data entry and creating tables.
  • Experience providing administrative support, with a focus on logistics and warehouse operations.
Nice to Have:
  • Direct experience in third-party logistics.
  • Experience in a logistics environment, involving shipping and receiving of materials.
  • Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management.
  • Experience using warehouse management software, specifically AS2016.
  • Previous experience working with multiple departments such as sales, warehouse staff, and drivers.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
