Job summary

A financial services company based in Toronto is seeking an Accounting Summer COOP student to assist with data entry, expense report processing, and daily cheque distribution. Ideal candidates should have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. The position requires the candidate to be onsite Monday to Thursday, with remote work on Friday. A competitive hourly wage of $18 to $23 is offered, dependent on experience and skills.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities
  • Data entry into accounts payable system for cheque and EFT payments
  • Reviewing and processing expense reports in Workday
  • Sorting and distributing daily cheques
  • Running reports for daily cheque distribution
  • Light filing
  • Box packing of storage room
Key Qualifications/Competencies
  • Completed a minimum of one (1) year post-secondary education and will be returning to school in the fall.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Organized and self‑motivated learner
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite at 789 Don Mills Road Monday - Thursday, with the ability to work from home on Friday.

Salary Range:

$18.00-$23.00 per hour

The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in a discretionary variable incentive plan, results are subject to both individual and company performance.
