We are looking for an Account Manager that has the character and personality to work with a strong team of personable and successful individuals. Our Account Managers are responsible for servicing and retaining clients by building and maintaining valuable relationships. As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for daily account management with our large group, strategic clients. Our approach is warm and our relationships are everything with our client.
What you’ll do / Responsibilities
- Develop working relationships with all internal partners and be an active participant in building a strong office culture.
- Contribute across administrative to strategic activities; impact will be valued by the team and clients.
- Apply benefits expertise to help prepare and present renewals, negotiate with carriers, interpret benchmark data and analyze trends.
- Build, expand and cultivate relationships with existing clients.
- Facilitate consultative conversations with team members to ensure client strategy is aligned and well executed.
- Develop basic communications strategy and materials to advise employees of changes in plan design and/or associated costs.
- Answer questions about benefits coverages and provide assistance with claims and vendor issues, plan design & funding arrangements, project management of carrier implementations, and creation and delivery of employee benefits presentations.
- Review & file contracts/booklets, track plan details and diarize past and future meetings and topics.
What you need to be Successful / Qualifications
- Experience in the Benefits Consulting or Insurance industry, or Benefits Administration.
- Critical thinkers who can diagnose issues quickly and problem-solve new or unique situations.
- Thrive on serving customers and take pride in effective responses in highly sensitive situations.
- Understand the importance of professional business correspondence and effective phone communication.
- 5 years' related industry experience, including but not limited to similar client service and business development exposure.
- CEBS, GBA, Life License or similar designations preferred.
- Consistent track record of solving complex client challenges through analytical and creative problem solving.
- Ability to uncover additional opportunities to cross-sell and drive the sale of additional services and coverage levels.
- Comfort managing client groups of varying sizes and levels of complexity.
- Hands-on renewal experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps, including Dynamics365.
