An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join a popular secondary school in Lambeth, South East London. This Teaching Assistant role is offered on a contract basis for a minimum of one term, with the potential to extend for the right Teaching Assistant.

ABOUT THE ROLE - TEACHING ASSISTANT:

The school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with proven experience working a similar long-term post within a secondary school setting. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff, supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping to maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and learning.

THE SUCCESSFUL TEACHING ASSISTANT WILL:
  • Have previous long-term experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school.
  • Be confident supporting boys aged 11-16 in a structured learning environment.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and positive role-modelling skills.
  • Work effectively with teachers, SEND teams, and pastoral staff.
  • Support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Be calm, resilient, and proactive in challenging situations.
  • Show a genuine commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Be able to commit for a full time role, 5 days per week, in Lambeth, South East London.
