Job summary

A healthcare provider in Hamilton is looking for a Telecommunicator to manage communication services across multiple hospital departments. Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months related experience in a switchboard, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge and skills using computers at an intermediate level.
• Emergency Responders course would be considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Answer main hospital internal and external telephone lines.
• Efficiently process calls in an accurate and courteous manner.
• Operate paging equipment and maintain a positive image of the hospital.

Skills

Proven knowledge of switchboard and locating tools

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Well-developed organizational skills

Proficiency in keyboarding, typing 35 wpm

Education

Grade 12 education or equivalent
