A prestigious university in Toronto is seeking a qualified individual for grading assignments and holding tutorials. The candidate must have a graduate degree and expertise in financial markets and investment strategies. Responsibilities also include proctoring exams and communicating strategies to stakeholders. This position requires in-person attendance and a penchant for supporting diversity and inclusion in the academic environment.
Assist in grading assignments; proctor final exam; invigilate tests and exams as required; hold tutorials and office hours; other duties as assigned. You are required to be in person.
Completed a graduate degree (MFIN, MBA, other advanced degree) with foundational knowledge of financial markets, trading, portfolio management, and behavioral finance from undergraduate or graduate studies. Has hands‑on experience implementing trading or investment strategies with an understanding of associated risk metrics and profiles, with expertise in strategy risks within capital markets, informed by prior work in trading or portfolio management. Has ability to communicate strategies and risks to clients and stakeholders.
Courses may be online or in‑person, depending on circumstances; candidates must be available and comfortable with both.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
