Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs for customers.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service while explaining automotive repairs and issues.
  • Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience.
  • Test parts and systems for functionality.
  • Perform primary auto care and maintenance tasks (oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotation).
  • Replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work.
  • Show willingness to learn through hands‑on experience.
  • Assist in keeping the repair shop clean and organized.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • Experience with automotive and engine repair or auto mechanic training is required.
  • ASE certifications are necessary.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to present a professional image while providing friendly customer service.
  • Keep accurate records (read, interpret, and transcribe data).
  • Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • May lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience as a lube technician or prepared for on‑job training.
  • Understanding of automotive air‑conditioning systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with heavy equipment, diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared for on‑job training.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination.
