APPLY TO EDUCATION POSTING NUMBER 4005827. Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of 0.5 FTE Secondary Teacher at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall. Effective February 2, 2026.

  • Grade 9 English – De-streamed – ENL1WC
  • Grade 11 World Religions – HRT3MR
  • Grade 10 Applied History – CHC2PC
Qualifications
  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division – English
  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Senior Division – Religion
  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division – History
  • Honours degree and/or subject qualification in Religion would be considered an asset.
  • Teaching experience and sound knowledge of the programs in these divisions and subject areas.
  • Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic education and integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations within the curriculum.
  • Deep knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Secondary Religious Education policy document Grades 9–12 and demonstrated instructional practices that also reflect the integration of our Catholic values and principles into instruction.
  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn effectively with a repertoire of proven instructional and assessment practices.
  • Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration through school-based PLC's, department meetings, co-planning and co-teaching.
  • Knowledge, experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support effective instruction that support well-being, equity and inclusion.
  • Flexibility to be assigned to other subject areas as the need arises.
  • Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties.
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school community.
