Job Summary
Analyzes and develops transportation plans to control the movement of commodities throughout a manufacturing or distribution network to ensure the smooth running of operations at optimal transportation cost levels.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing transportation plans and identifying opportunities for improvements to meet client needs.
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
- Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs, carrier performance and lead times.
- Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and providing solutions to reduce lead times.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience desired.
- Pre-advanced English.
- Intermediate level in Power BI and Microsoft Office 365.
- Advanced English (top candidates).
- Knowledge in the Transportation Area (top candidates).
- Systems Knowledge: Infor Nexus (current), Blue Yonder, and To Open (future state) (top candidates).
- Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility; ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions and results, and focus on activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments.
- Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
