Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a senior Linux Kernel Developer with solid experience developing file systems and modules in a Linux environment. The position involves new development, as well as maintenance of our Multi Version File System. The ideal candidate has hands-on development experience with Linux or UNIX internals and a passion for systems level development. Projects may include design and development of new features, support of new OS versions, performance and scalability enhancements, and bug fixes.

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold a BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent, MS preferred
• Significant experience – fifteen or more years

Requirements:

• Significant experience with Windows kernel development
• Understand Windows File System Architecture
• Kernel level debugging (WinDbg)
• Working knowledge of x86_64 instruction set
• Knowledge of complex distributed systems
• Ability to debug complex issues in a distributed systems environment
• Networking concepts and protocols in a cross platform environment (SMB, NFS, RPC, UDP, TCP/IP)
• Ability to debug issues at the protocol level
• Administer Windows machines in a networked environment
• Programming in C

Plus:

• Knowledge of C++
• Scripting languages such as PERL or PowerShell
• Experience solving complex performance problems in distributed systems
• Experience with UNIX/Linux kernel development
