ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to accelerate our cloud, automation, and reliability journey. You’ll own critical infrastructure across hybrid environments, drive Kubernetes platform maturity, codify everything through Infrastructure as Code, and improve the resilience of systems that underpin mission‑critical applications. This role blends platform engineering, reliability, security‑conscious automation, and hands‑on delivery.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Kubernetes Platform : Design, build, and optimize multi‑cluster Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / on‑prem) environments (networking, RBAC, admission controls, autoscaling, GitOps, secrets management).

Infrastructure as Code : Author, refactor, and enforce reusable Terraform modules (networking, IAM, workloads, security baselines).

• Configuration & Automation : Implement idempotent automation with Ansible, PowerShell, Python for Windows & Linux workloads (patching, provisioning, compliance, application deployment).

Cloud Architecture : Architect scalable, secure AWS solutions (VPC design, security groups, IAM least privilege, load balancing, multi‑region failover, S3 lifecycle, RDS / Aurora high availability).

CI / CD & Release Engineering : Evolve pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) for zero‑downtime deploys, artifact governance, environment promotion, security scanning, and rollback strategy.

Observability & Resilience : Implement SLOs, metrics, tracing, structured logging; integrate tools (Prometheus / Grafana / CloudWatch / OpenTelemetry / ELK / Datadog). Drive chaos / resilience testing & DR runbooks.

Security & Compliance : Embed security controls early, secrets management (e.g., Vault / SSM), image hardening, IAM policy reviews, vulnerability management with Qualys and SentinelOne, TLS cert lifecycle automation.

Networking & Edge : Collaborate on F5 / ingress / DNS / CDN strategies; optimize traffic routing, failover patterns, and app gateway policies.

Disaster Recovery & High Availability : Engineer automated failover workflows (database, DNS, load balancers).

Scripting & Tooling : Build reusable PowerShell and Python utilities to consolidate operational tasks (cluster actions, certificate rotation, failover orchestration, reporting).

Governance & Standards : Define guardrails, reusable patterns, tagging standards, cost controls, and operational runbooks.

Mentorship & Collaboration : Coach engineers, administrators and NOC members, uplift automation practices, and collaborate with security, dev teams, and operations stakeholders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

7+ years in DevOps / Site Reliability / Platform Engineering roles.

Production experience operating Kubernetes (cluster lifecycle, scaling, networking, security hardening).

Deep AWS expertise (networking, IAM, compute, storage, resiliency design).

Strong Terraform proficiency (modules, workspaces, state management, CI validation).

Hands‑on Ansible (playbooks, roles, dynamic inventories) and PowerShell / Python scripting (automation against Windows servers / IIS / Active Directory / APIs).

Proven track record building and improving CI / CD pipelines.

Solid understanding of networking (DNS, load balancing, TLS, routing) and infrastructure security principles.

Experience with logging, metrics, tracing, and incident response processes.

Comfortable with both Windows and Linux server automation / administration.

Strong documentation, discipline and runbook authoring ability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• GitOps tooling (Argo CD / Flux).
• Policy-as-code (OPA, Conftest, Terraform Cloud / Sentinel).
• Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store).
• Experience with F5 (LTM / GTM) or modern ingress controllers and traffic management strategies.
• Database HA & failover orchestration (SQL Server AGs, RDS, replication strategies).
• Certificate automation (ACME, enterprise PKI, mTLS adoption).
• Python, Powershell or Go for building internal CLI tools / operators.
• Exposure to service mesh (Istio) and zero trust patterns.
• Cost optimization and FinOps collaboration.
• Experience running DR simulations and resilience engineering practices.
