This position does not require full-time work. It is a hybrid role with involvement up to three days per week (Tuesdays through a target window).

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Work with research institutes to design, implement, monitor, and gather insights from consumer research in South America, and communicate customer feedback to local, regional, and global stakeholders to drive improved business results.
  • Develop clear, concise, engaging written reports and presentations fully integrated across relevant sources with a compelling storytelling approach.
  • Provide internal clients with guidance from multiple research and market sources to enable product design that aligns with customer desires, primarily at early stages of global product development.
  • Consult with internal clients to identify areas where the customer voice can inform decisions.
  • Synthesize existing research and data to identify new insights and emerging trends by finding common threads.
  • Socialize insights across relevant organizations and leader forums (Engineering, Marketing, Planning, Design).
  • Present a professional image through productive collaboration, thoughtful meeting participation, polished presentation skills, and well-crafted writing.
  • Develop quantitative questionnaires and qualitative discussion guides. Consult with internal clients to frame objectives for primary research and work with the research supervisor to apply appropriate methodologies.
  • Coordinate research projects and suppliers from start to finish, adhering to time and budget targets.
  • Create the purchasing process required for studies, track its completion, and facilitate funding decisions for studies.
  • Keep track of new market research methodologies to foster innovation in the team.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience and enthusiasm for the auto industry.
  • English (mandatory).
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and applications to research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies including Conjoint and MaxDiff.
  • Knowledge of the South America consumer market (or Planning) and the automotive industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present confidently to senior leadership as well as small and large audiences.
  • Ability to develop and communicate insights in a storytelling format to increase its stickiness.
  • A passion for the customer.
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical patience, and willingness to develop ideas into insights through iteration and synthesis.
  • A collaborative, client-service orientation.
  • Ability to work in an environment with high complexity and ambiguity.
  • Marketing and communication fundamentals.
  • Understanding of market research and analysis methodology and basic statistics is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and be resourceful.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative, challenging team environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, including synthesizing large data sets into concise, actionable insights.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
