Our trusted high‑growth healthcare technology partner is seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer (PHP / Laravel) to join their dynamic team. This innovative company is dedicated to revolutionizing the healthcare industry through cutting‑edge technology solutions.

Position Overview :

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions to support the company's mission and goals. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and maintain innovative applications and platforms that drive business success and improve patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities :

1. Platform Development : Spearhead the development and optimization of our EHR platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
2. Database Development : Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
3. API Development and Integration : Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third‑party services.
4. Security Compliance : Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols.

Additional Responsibilities :

1. Mentor junior developers : providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
2. Stay abreast of new technology trends : evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.
3. Participate in the agile development process : contributing to sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality software.
4. Collaborate with the design team : refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front‑end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks.

Competencies / Requirements :

1. Technical Expertise : Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL. Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.
2. Experience : At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications. Experience in the healthcare sector or EHR platforms is highly desirable.
3. Problem‑Solving Skills : Ability to tackle complex problems, think analytically, and develop innovative solutions.
4. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
