Description
We are searching for the best talent for a Regional Business Unit Leader - Orthopedics, LATAM. This role may be located in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, or Mexico. The Orthopedics Regional Business Unit Leader will be responsible for leading the regional marketing strategy for the franchise for key platforms and specialties. Position should guarantee global alignment and representation of LATAM needs at Originating Company. Ensure execution through Marketing Excellence and LEX (NPLs), Strategy Planning, Marketing Planning. Guarantee liaison with Local Marketing and Cluster Leadership and business partnership with key functional areas. Responsible for BP Sales and P&L achievement for the Franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and coordinates the definition and deployment of the marketing strategy for the region.
- Executes critical processes: long‑term strategy and business planning, marketing plans, portfolio management and development, market trend analysis, new product launches, business performance tracking, digital marketing, and multi‑channel marketing.
- Designs the organization to meet enterprise objectives, including size and work content of direct reports.
- Coaches and mentors direct reports, driving a strong talent agenda and bench strength.
- Contributes directly to the development of the business strategy in the region’s clusters and represents the Business Unit in the LATAM Leadership Team (LALT).
- Works closely with the Originating Company (OC), providing recommendations for the development of the BU marketing strategy based on regional market needs.
- Represents LATAM regional market requirements in the Orthopedics Global Leadership Team (OLT).
- Coordinates LATAM targeting, segmentation, and pricing strategies for strategic brands and conducts market research to validate them.
- Leads and coordinates development of marketing collateral and support materials aligned to the above strategies.
- Champions and coordinates new product/program launches into the region, exercising Launch Excellence (LEX).
- Captures and analyzes market intelligence reports and provides strategic feedback to the organization.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in sales and marketing management roles, with a demonstrated track record of achieving business results in challenging environments.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams: proven track record of developing and leading cross‑functional teams in multifaceted environments to drive business objectives.
- P&L management and financial acumen: extensive experience managing profit and loss for a regional or large local business unit, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Market analysis and competitive strategy development: experience conducting comprehensive market analysis to inform strategy planning and develop competitive strategies across regions.
- Collaborator engagement and relationship management: strong background in establishing relationships with key partners, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and support for business strategies.
- Change management and organizational transformation: demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and transformation initiatives, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Critical thinking and visioning: ability to develop and communicate a clear strategic vision that aligns with organizational goals and leverages market opportunities.
- Leadership and people development: skills in mentoring and developing talent within teams, fostering a high‑performance culture that supports individual growth and organizational success.
