Platform Engineer | Remote | Brazil | $30-$35 per hour | 12 months

Role: Platform Engineer

Location: Remote (Candidate must be based in Brazil)

Rate / Salary: $30-$35 per hour

Duration: 12 months (extension likely)

I'm partnering with a leading consultancy delivering a large-scale Cloud, DevOps & Data transformation for a major global organisation in the aviation sector.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer with a strong software development background to support the next phase of the programme. This initiative focuses on building a high-availability, globally distributed platform, modernising infrastructure, improving automation, and raising operational reliability standards across mission-critical aviation systems.

Skills & Responsibilities
  • Strong software engineering background with current hands‑on focus in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles.
  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins and SonarQube, ensuring high code quality, security and automation standards.
  • Implement and optimise end‑to‑end delivery pipelines, including build, test, security scanning and deployment automation.
  • Hands‑on experience working with AI tooling (e.g. AI‑assisted development, automation, testing, monitoring or platform optimisation).
  • Take ownership of workstreams, break down requirements into deliverable tasks, and operate independently in a fast‑paced, distributed environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve developer experience, automation, reliability and deployment efficiency.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in build, release and operational processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the delivery of a high‑availability, globally distributed aviation platform through robust DevOps practices.
