• The Position : Designing and implementing ETL processes to migrate customer data from legacy systems into SDL's SaaS platform.Transforming datasets, including working with SQL databases, flat file formats (e.g., CSV), and other data structures.Developing and optimizing scripts and tools to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure accurate and efficient data migration.Build and maintain product components and tools that can be used for repeatable migrations with common systems.Employing best practices when it comes to code design, CI / CD, and developer experience.Participating in code reviews to ensure that the codebase is maintained to a high standard with every merged pull request.We are early in our deployment of several best practices, including automation.

What You Bring

You have prior experience in data engineering, ETL systems, or data migration roles in a SaaS based company. Proficiency in Python, with demonstrated ability to process and transform datasets programmatically. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate data migrations.

What Makes You Stand Out

Experience with GIS technology and spatial data formats, particularly shapefiles. Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure. Experience with scripting for automation of repetitive tasks. Experience building scalable data pipelines that can transform data in jobs or at scale.
