Qualifications

• Previous Front Desk or Front Office experience preferred, especially in a luxury environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to change within the hotel.
• Customer service experience and ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative work approach.
• Excellent English reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Proficiency with computers, Excel and OPERA or equivalent PMS; cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Display a friendly, courteous and professional manner with guests and colleagues at all times.
• Welcome and register hotel guests, fulfill requests and adhere to credit policies.
• Handle a multitude of keys and quote room availability for current and future dates.
• Accept reservations, changes and cancellations when needed.
• Block rooms for arriving guests; pre-register individuals or groups; assist VIPs.
• Coordinate with Concierge to manage luggage and guest requests.
• Resolve guest problems or complaints; use the computer system for daily reports and requests.
• Keep other departments informed of necessary information or requests; manage safety deposit box procedures.
• Complete registration documentation, reconcile transactions, and understand hotel service codes.
• Understand the roles of telephone operator, reservationist, concierge and housekeeper.
