Job summary

Bahrain Surf Park is seeking a BarBack to support bar operations and ensure guests receive fast, accurate service in a vibrant beach setting.

The role involves stocking, glassware care, garnish prep, and waste disposal, with shifts including nights and weekends. Ideal candidates have up to 1 year in hospitality, peer teamwork, and a can-do attitude. Medical insurance and a dynamic coastal work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent (entry-level role).
• 0–1 year of hospitality, bar support, or restaurant service experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a barback or runner in a beach venue or high-volume bar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policies, grooming standards, hygiene protocols, and SOPs at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of BSP offerings, promotions, and current initiatives.
• Support team objectives and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and development programs.
• Follow opening/closing checklists for operational readiness and compliance.
• Transport spirits, beer kegs, wine, mixers, and ice to bar stations.
• Restock ice wells, speed rails, beverages, straws, and napkins during peak hours.
• Follow safety procedures when handling beverages and equipment.
• Wash and polish glassware; restock clean glassware for each drink type.
• Assist bartenders with garnish prep and batching juices/syrups.

OVERVIEWAND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

Asa BarBack, you are the backbone of bar operations at Bahrain Surf Park,providing essential backend support to keep our bartenders fully stocked,equipped, and focused on serving guests.

Youwill manage ice supply, restock glassware and spirits, prep garnishes, clearbar counters, dispose of trash, and maintain clean, organized bar work areas.

WHAT YOU DO:

Role Responsibilities:

General Requirements

• Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, hygieneprotocols, and departmental SOPs at all times.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of food and beverage offerings,BSP promotions, and current operational initiatives.
• Support team objectives and contribute positively to the workingenvironment.
• Participate actively in daily briefings, training sessions, anddevelopment programs.
• Follow departmental opening and closing checklists to ensureoperational readiness and compliance.

Stock & Supply Replenishment

• Heavy Stock Transport: Transportspirits, beer kegs, wine cases, mixers, fresh juices, and ice bags frommain storage rooms to bar stations.
• Station Restocking: Continuouslymonitor and refill ice wells, speed rails, bottled beverages, paperstraws, and napkins during peak service hours.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling beverages, equipment,tools, and glassware

Glassware & Dishwashing Management

• Glassware Washing: Collect dirtyglassware from bar counters and floor-side stations, wash and sanitizethem via bar glass washers, and polish glass surfaces.
• Glass Restocking: Keep bartenderscontinuously supplied with clean, chilled, and polished glasswareappropriate for each drink type.

Bar Prep & Garnish Support

• Garnish Prep: Assistbartenders with washing fruit, slicing citrus garnishes, preparing mintleaves, and stocking condiment caddies.
• Juice & Syrup Batching: Assist inprepping fresh juices and syrup bottles according to the HeadBartender's instructions.

Bar Cleanliness & Waste Removal

• Trash & Bottle Disposal: Regularlyempty trash cans, bottle recycling bins, and cardboard boxes from barareas.
• Bar Area Maintenance: Mop spills, wipedown back-bar shelves, clean drainage floor mats, and maintainimmaculate back-of-house bar storage.

Required Experience

• 0to 1 year of experience in hospitality, bar support, or restaurant service.
• Priorexperience as a barback or runner in a beach venue or high-volume bar is aplus.

Required Professional Skills and Attributes

• Physical stamina for heavy lifting (icebags, beer kegs, liquor crates).
• Speed, agility, and proactive awareness ofbar needs.
• Basic understanding of glassware care, bartools, and sanitation rules.

• ZeroBottlenecks: Zero bar service delays caused by missing bar prep supplies.
• Bar SanitationAudit: Maintain 95%+ audit score on back-bar and storage cleanliness.
