Job summary

Bahrain Surf Park is hiring a Treasury Accountant to manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and treasury controls. You'll report to the Finance Manager and oversee daily treasury operations across all park departments, ensuring liquidity and safeguarding funds.

You will handle cash forecasting, reporting, and risk analysis, while maintaining strict internal controls in line with Bahrain regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of treasury, banking, cash management, or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic fluency is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions, bank balances, and liquid assets across units.
• Prepare daily cash flow reports and treasury summaries for leadership.
• Oversee cash collections across revenue centers including Surf operations, F&B, retail, events.
• Manage supplier payments, payroll disbursements, and vendor obligations.

OVERVIEWAND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

TheTreasury Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s cash flow,banking relationships, liquidity planning, treasury controls, paymentprocessing, cash forecasting, financial risk management, and treasuryreporting. The role ensures that Bahrain Surf Park maintains adequateliquidity to support operations while optimizing cash utilization andsafeguarding company funds.Reportingdirectly to the Finance Manager, you will oversee daily treasury operations,manage multi-revenue cash streams across all park departments, maintainbanking efficiency, and uphold strict internal financial controls in fullalignment with Bahrain regulations and company policies.

WHAT YOUDO:

ROLERESPONSIBILITIES

Cash &Liquidity Management

• Daily Cash Position Monitoring: Monitor daily cash positions, bank balances, and liquid assets toensure continuous operational readiness across all business units.
• Cash Flow Reporting: Prepare accuratedaily cash flow reports and treasury summaries for finance leadership.
• Multi-Revenue Stream Management: Oversee and track cash collections across all revenue centers,including surf operations, memberships, F&B outlets, retail stores, andpark events.
• Collection Banking: Ensure thesecure, timely, and compliant banking of all daily cash and electroniccollections.
• Liquidity Maintenance: Maintainadequate operational liquidity to meet ongoing commitments, operationalexpenses, and working capital needs.

BankingOperations & Payment Processing

• Supplier & Vendor Payments: Prepare, verify, and process supplier payment files, payrolldisbursements, and vendor obligations efficiently.
• Online Banking Platform Management: Manage corporate online banking portals, electronic payment files,funds transfers, and user authorization levels.
• Bank Relationship Management: Serve as the primaryoperational focal point for banking partners regarding corporate accounts,banking facilities, merchant services, and credit line management.
• Fee Optimization: Regularly monitor bankcharges, FX rates, interest rates, and banking transaction efficiencies tominimize operational banking costs.
• Mandates & Signatories: Maintain up-to-date bankmandates, corporate signatory records, and documentation for all active bankacco unts.

Cash FlowForecasting & Financial Risk Analysis

• Forecast Modeling: Develop, model,and maintain rolling weekly, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct thoroughvariance analyses comparing actual cash movements against historicalforecasts, identifying root causes for discrepancies.
• Surplus & Shortfall Planning: Identify future funding requirements, working capital gaps, andsurplus cash positions to recommend optimal short-term funding or surplusplacement strategies.

TreasuryControls, Internal Audit & Regulatory Compliance

• Governance & Policy Adherence: Enforce strict compliance with treasury policies, authorizationthresholds, and internal financial controls across all departments.
• Document Verification: Thoroughlyinspect and verify supporting invoices, purchase orders, approval signatures,and tax documentation prior to payment releases.
• Segregation of Duties: Maintainrigid segregation of duties and secure payment verification controls acrossall financial systems.
• Audit Support: Act as the keycontact for internal and external auditors during treasury audits, providingrequired documentation, schedules, and reconciliations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensurefull compliance with Kingdom of Bahrain financial regulations, central bankmandates, anti-money laundering (AML) directives, and corporate policies.

BankReconciliations & Ledger Accuracy

• Reconciliation Execution: Performtimely daily and monthly bank reconciliations across all corporate andoperational bank accounts.
• Item Investigation: Proactivelyinvestigate and resolve unreconciled transactions, deposit variances,outstanding cheques, or bank errors promptly.
• Outstanding Tracking: Continuously monitor outstanding deposits in transit, unpresented cheques,and pending online settlement gateways.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance,or a related field (Required).
• Professional treasury or accountingcertifications (e.g., CTP, ACCA, CPA, or CMA) are a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English; Arabic fluency is astrong advantage.

RequiredExperience

• 3 to 5 years ofdedicated treasury, banking, cash management, or corporate accountingexperience.
• Prior background inhospitality, entertainment, leisure, tourism, or retail sectors is highlypreferred.
• Demonstrated historyof managing high-volume cash transactions, electronic banking portals, andcash forecasting models.
