Job summary

Bahrain Surf Park in Bilaj Aljazayer invites an experienced Head Bartender to lead our bar operations across the restaurant, beach bars, and event setups. You will craft cocktails, manage inventory, and supervise a talented team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

You will develop signature drinks, enforce health and safety standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure fast, accurate service and consistent quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bartending in high-volume venues with 1+ year in a Head Bartender role.
• Proven cocktail creation, menu engineering, beverage cost control and leadership.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations across main and kiosk bars; supervise opening/closing.
• Develop and enforce standardized recipes for signature cocktails and mocktails.
• Ensure fast, correctly garnished drinks with impeccable presentation.

OVERVIEWAND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

AsHead Bartender, you will take charge of all bar operations, beveragecreation, mixology standards, and bar staff performance across Bahrain SurfPark's restaurant, beach bars, and event setups.

Youwill craft innovative cocktails, mocktails, and specialty drinks, managebeverage inventory and cost controls, enforce health and safety regulations,and lead a talented team of bartenders and barbacks.

WHAT YOU DO:

Role Responsibilities:

General Requirements

• Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, hygieneprotocols, and departmental SOPs at all times.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of food and beverage offerings,BSP promotions, and current operational initiatives.
• Support team objectives and contribute positively to the workingenvironment.
• Participate actively in daily briefings, training sessions, anddevelopment programs.
• Follow departmental opening and closing checklists to ensureoperational readiness and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with barbacks, fellow bartenders, andfront-of-house colleagues.
• Create a welcoming, energetic, and engaging bar atmosphere.
• Provide personalized beverage recommendations and appropriatefood and beverage pairings.
• Contribute to a memorable guest experience through excellentproduct knowledge and service delivery.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling beverages, equipment,tools, and glassware.

Bar Operations & Beverage Leadership

• Bar Management: Supervise dailyopening, operating, and closing procedures for main and kiosk barstations.
• Recipe & Mixology Execution: Develop and enforce standardized recipes for signaturecocktails, mocktails, specialty coffees, and fresh juices.
• Service Speed & Quality: Ensureall drink orders are prepared rapidly, correctly garnished, and servedwith impeccable presentation.
• Maintain effective communication with the kitchen, service, andmanagement teams.
• Work collaboratively with barbacks, fellow bartenders, andfront-of-house colleagues
• Complete and sign daily operational checklists.
• Train and coach bartenders on service standards, speed ofservice, and beverage consistency.

Stock, Inventory & Beverage Cost Control

• Beverage Inventory: Oversee barinventory management, FIFO compliance, wastage logging, and stockrotation procedures.
• Conduct daily stock checks, manage par levels, place orders, andmonitor beverage wastage
• Conduct weekly and monthly bar stock takes, manage beveragerequisitions, and minimize spillage/wastage.
• Supplier Coordination: Assist inreviewing beverage supplier quality, draft beer tap setups, andspecialty ingredient orders.
• POS Bar Auditing: Audit bar POSentries against drink output to ensure 100% billing accuracy and preventunrecorded giveaways.

Bar Team Coaching & Development

• Training & Mentorship: Trainbartenders and barbacks on beverage specs, pouring techniques, speed ofservice, and glassware care.
• Pre-Shift Briefings: Lead pre-shiftbar briefings on daily drink specials, feature cocktails, and guestvolume expectations.
• Sanitation Standards: Enforce strictcleanliness for bar counters, ice wells, speed rails, blender units, anddraft taps.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure barrefrigeration, coffee machines, and glass washers are maintained in topworking order.

ü Fluent English speaker; Arabic fluency is astrong advantage.

RequiredExperience

ü Minimum3 years of bartending experience in high-volume bars, beach clubs, or resortdining, with at least 1 year in a Head Bartender or Senior Bartender role.

ü Proventrack record in cocktail creation, menu engineering, beverage cost control,and bar team leadership.
