OVERVIEWAND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

AsHead Waiter, you will lead the restaurant floor team during service shifts to ensure guests receive an exceptional, smooth, and welcoming dining experience that reflects Bahrain Surf Park's Aloha Spirit.

You will directly oversee waiters and runners, manage station allocations, ensure immaculate table presentation, guide menu upselling, and act as the main floor presence, ensuring seamless interaction between guests, the bar, and the kitchen pass.

General Requirements

• Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, hygieneprotocols, and departmental SOPs at all times.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of food and beverage offerings,BSP promotions, and current operational initiatives.
• Support team objectives and contribute positively to the workingenvironment.
• Participate actively in daily briefings, training sessions, anddevelopment programs.
• Follow departmental opening and closing checklists to ensure operational readiness and compliance.

• Service Pacing & Flow: Monitor order flow from POS to kitchen pass and bar, ensuring dishes and drinks arrive promptly at guest tables.

Guest Experience & VIP Care

• Guest Engagement: Welcome guests warmly, assist with high-profile or VIP tables, and ensure guest needs are met attentively.
• Complaint Resolution: Handle guest inquiries and service feedback immediately on the floor with empathy, resolving minor issues or escalating as needed.
• Ambience & Presentation: Ensure dining room lighting, music, temperature, table setup, and cleanliness maintain peak standards.

Menu Knowledge & Upselling

• Menu Briefings: Conduct pre-shift briefing checks on daily specials, out-of-stock items, allergen warnings, and beverage pairings.
• Upselling Coaching: Coaches waiters on effective menu description, beverage pairing, and upselling techniques to boost average check size.
• Station Readiness: Ensure side stations are fully stocked with cutlery, polished glassware, linens, condiment, and menus before service.
• Hygiene Compliance: Enforce strict personal hygiene, uniform standards, and table sanitization protocols among floor staff.
