Qualifications

• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as insurance, law, or economics, or has several years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical skills and a focus on optimization to assess coverage and risks.
• Proactive and results-oriented with initiative to implement improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to persuade stakeholders and negotiate with insurers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the insurance portfolio, ensuring policies, coverage, deductibles, premiums, and terms are up-to-date and internally consistent.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify current and future insurance needs and analyze operational risks.
• Assess competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of the portfolio by reviewing broker/insurer proposals and identifying gaps.
• Assist with tenders and policy renewals; negotiate premiums and terms; implement policy changes accurately and timely.
• Advise stakeholders on insurability and coverage options with clear explanations.
