Job summary

Axis Group Belgium is seeking a Business Insurance Expert to advise entrepreneurs and SMEs on a broad range of professional insurance solutions. You will analyze risks and craft personalized strategies while maintaining close contact with clients.

You will guide clients through risk analysis, policy signing, claims handling, and renewals, and work with banking colleagues to deliver integrated solutions. Leuven-region familiarity is valued for strong local connections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or comparable experience in insurance/finance/risk management.
• Strong interest or experience in commercial insurance for professional clients.
• Understanding of challenges faced by entrepreneurs and businesses with effective solutions.
• Commercial mindset, customer-focused, able to build lasting trust-based relationships.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; structured, proactive, and opportunity-driven.
• Meets legal requirements for insurance advice or is willing to obtain necessary certifications.
• Familiar with Leuven region and local entrepreneurial network.

Responsibilities

• Advise entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, and SMEs on a wide range of professional insurance solutions (liability, professional liability, property, cyber, fleet, business interruption, legal expense, life for self-employed/business owners).
• Analyze clients’ activities, risks and growth plans to translate into personalized insurance strategies.
• Guide clients through the entire process from risk analysis and policy signing to claims follow-up and renewals.
• Maintain close contact with existing clients and prospects, identify new opportunities, and build long-term relationships based on trust.
• Collaborate with colleagues in banking to provide integrated solutions for business clients.
• Opportunity to progress to managing complex portfolios for larger companies and wealth clients.
• Monitor developments in insurance market and legislation to provide added value for clients.
