Job summary

Axis Group in Belgium is seeking an experienced Product Manager for life insurance who will analyze products, monitor market trends, and optimize offerings to strengthen market position. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in life and/or property & casualty insurance.
• Strong understanding of product development, profitability, risk analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to combine analytical insights with a commercial/strategic perspective.
• Experience in project management and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive, responsible, and persuasive with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Native Dutch or French speaker with good command of the other language; English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product profitability based on premiums, claims expenses, reserves and other data.
• Monitor trends and developments in the life insurance market.
• Analyze market data, customer insights, and distribution needs to inform product decisions.
• Manage and optimize the existing product portfolio while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop, launch, and expand new products and services.
• Coordinate projects and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operational teams, actuarial, reinsurers, distribution channels, and regulators.
• Contribute to underwriting policies by helping to develop and monitor them.
• Provide commercial and financial input to recommendations and decisions.
• Support internal departments and distribution partners with technical and commercial guidance.
• Act as the point of contact for external stakeholders such as FSMA, NBB, Test Aankoop, and reinsurers.
• Prepare analyses, studies, and presentations for various stakeholders.
• Over time, assume advisory and coordinating responsibilities within the team.
